James was the brithday boy last week! He had his golden brithday where he turned the same age as the date of his birthday. He was so lucky to be on his 7 days off rotation on his work schedule, so we were able to do lots of celebrating. On Saturday we went out with some friends to dinner at one of our favorite Mexican places. It was delicious as always and they even sang him happy birthday in Spanish! Then we came back and played a fun game of volleyball.
Sunday we celebrated with James family. It was the Brigham City Temple Dedication and then we went to James parents for a delicious dinner and Apple Spice cake with cream cheese frosting (special requests of the birthday boy). On Monday James took me golfing for the first time and it was SO fun driving around the golf course and watching my hubby practice his new found love. Then later that night we went to an outdoor movie at the highschool: How to Train a Dragon (so cute :) Then on Tuesday (his actual birthday) he had bacon and eggs for breakfast, opened some presents, went to a work golf tournament, Alyssa bought steaks to BBQ for dinner and then I played volleyball and he played basketball that night. I feel like im forgetting more of the fun things we did, but it was so nice having time to spend together. Also, we took a drive up the canyon to see all the fall leaves and it was AMAZING! This California girl didn't realize there was actually a season for Fall lol, but I love that Utah actually HAS the season that I read about in school books growing up haha! Other things we did this week was go to lunch with Jim and Joey, spend lots of time watching my belly move from our active son, watch my belly grow, cook some delicious dinners together, like crepes, and then it was back to work on Friday night for James! Whew! A fun filled busy week :)
